Dr. Juan José Garrido, leader of the group "Neuronal Polarity" at the Cajal Institute (CSIC Madrid, Spain) is visiting our laboratory since october 1st 2012 and until the end of january 2013 to pursue his collaboration with D. Debanne's group. His visit is supported by the IMéRA (Institut Méditerranéen de Recherches Avancées, Marseille).

Dr. Garrido's project focuses on the mechanisms underlying the development and plasticity of the axon. These questions are studied using cellular and molecular neurobiology combined with electrophysiological methods.
